Start Date: October 20, 2025 Duration: Through December 2025 (extension likely) Work Type: Remote – Full-time hours Pay (C2C): Senior Associate:
$70–80/hr Manager:
$90–100/hr
(W2 hourly option available upon request, but C2C is preferred)
From day one, you’ll be part of a national advisory team helping clients navigate complex accounting and reporting matters. This contract engagement supports a variety of technical accounting projects from the adoption of new standards to transaction support, audit readiness, and IPO preparation. Consultants work remotely within collaborative client service teams and are expected to take ownership of deliverables while maintaining flexibility across multiple engagements.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on complex accounting matters, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, and ASC 718.
Support transactions including business combinations, carve-outs, IPOs, and other capital market events.
Prepare or review financial statements and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and pro forma financial information.
Lead or participate in audit readiness and first-time audit support engagements.
Prepare technical accounting memoranda and assist in the remediation of accounting or reporting deficiencies.
Deliver high-quality work in compliance with GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
Train and mentor less experienced team members (Manager-level only).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required or in progress.
5+ years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, or corporate technical accounting.
Deep technical understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Proven experience in revenue recognition, leasing, stock-based compensation, or M&A accounting.
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to operate independently in a consulting environment.
Prior Audit Experience Preferred.
About the Engagement This is a contract opportunity with a national advisory firm, fully remote with a laptop provided. Hours are expected to average 40 per week. The project runs through year-end, with a strong likelihood of extension based on performance and client needs.
