About the Role
Our partner is a trusted regional leader in electro‑mechanical repair, overhead crane and hoist service, and industrial equipment sales, serving manufacturers and industrial clients across the southeast since 1946.
We’re seeking a hands‑on, tactical
Director of Sales
to lead and elevate our outside sales team. This role is ideal for a proven coach who thrives in the field, someone who loves working alongside Territory Sales Managers to drive results, build customer relationships, and strengthen our market presence across multiple locations.
Reporting directly to the President, this is a high‑impact, high‑visibility position on the executive leadership team, responsible for leading sales strategy, developing talent, and growing revenue through service excellence.
What You’ll Do
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Territory Sales Managers to achieve growth targets across inspection, service, and new equipment sales.
Spend
2–3 days per week in the field , working side‑by‑side with sales reps to coach, prospect, and close business.
Define territory alignments, set goals, and track performance using measurable activity metrics (RFQs generated, inspection revenue, call activity, etc.).
Partner cross‑functionally with operations, inside sales, and peer managers to ensure seamless project execution and a connected customer experience.
Analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and customer trends to identify opportunities for improvement and profitable growth.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience leading an industrial B2B sales team, preferably in
electro‑mechanical, overhead crane, hoist, or related service industries .
A

who coaches by example, spends time in the field, and develops high‑performing sales professionals.
Strong business acumen with experience in territory management, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with both internal teams and external customers.
