Position Summary The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the daily accounting operations and financial reporting of the company. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing month‑end close activities, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP standards. The Senior Accountant partners closely with Operations, Payroll, and AP teams to provide timely and accurate financial insights that support the success of our restaurants and hospitality operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is complete and accurate.

Analyze P&L statements and balance sheets for multiple restaurant units; investigate and explain variances.

Review and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and intercompany transactions.

Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to provide requested documentation.

Ensure proper accounting treatment for revenue recognition, inventory, and prepaid expenses.

Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal control policies.

Collaborate with operations leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations for improved profitability.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

4-6 years of progressive accounting experience; restaurant, hospitality, or multi‑unit industry experience highly preferred.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Experience with restaurant‑specific accounting systems (e.g., Restaurant365, Compeat, or similar) a plus.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑location environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
