Position Overview Full‑time, long‑term contract. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, and 401(k) with contribution.
Responsibilities
Generate real‑time 2‑D, M‑mode, Doppler (continuous wave and pulsed), color flow, transesophageal, and dobutamine echo studies.
Evaluate all cardiac structures and flow patterns, applying knowledge of ultrasound physics.
Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain accurate records.
Generate reports and review test results with interpreting physicians.
Use electronic medical records for scheduling, exam notes, and results.
Maintain logs, videotape libraries, and documentation.
Perform preventive equipment maintenance; coordinate service with Biomedical Engineering and service companies.
Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy and Doppler signals.
Calibrate equipment daily.
Communicate clearly with patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
Qualifications
Education:
Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Sonographer technologist program (ARDMS).
Licensure & Certifications:
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS); Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RSCS) or CCI Credential (RCS); BLS certified; ACL or CVL preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of hospital ultrasound experience.
Security:
U.S. citizenship; successful background investigation; ability to maintain a government security clearance.
Additional:
Willingness to comply with government vaccination requirements.
Compensation Hourly rate $50–$70 (estimated). Position contingent upon contract award.
