Job Summary Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor, Hospital Assistant III assists in the delivery of care to patients in the Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. The role includes personal care and clinical procedures to support specialty care services.
Responsibilities
Assist in patient care and laboratory procedures within the outpatient setting.
Collaborate with Clinical Nursing Staff and Administrative Staff to ensure accurate information flow.
Adhere to Telephone and House Standards adopted by the Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
1 year MA experience.
Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
Current American Heart Association CPR Certification.
Proficiency with computer usage, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures.
Preferred Qualifications
6 months experience in an ambulatory setting (OHNS or Urology).
Proficiency with EPIC (APeX) electronic health records system.
Bilingual or multi-lingual capability (Spanish, Cantonese, Russian).
Experience with insurance authorizations and retail pharmacy interactions.
License/Certification
American Heart Association BLS – CPR Certified.
