We’re seeking an experienced
Mainframe Systems Programmer
to lead engineering, operations, and planning for our IBM z/OS environment. This role involves ensuring system performance, reliability, and scalability while supporting critical infrastructure, storage, and disaster recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert for IBM mainframe and z/OS.
Install, configure, and maintain z/OS and third‑party tools (CA, BMC, Endevor, TopSecret, etc.).
Perform CICS administration, system tuning, and capacity planning.
Manage mainframe storage, tape systems, and DR planning/testing.
Support system upgrades, patches, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with IT leadership on modernization initiatives (Linux, cloud readiness).
Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across mainframe systems.
Qualifications
10+ years as a Mainframe Systems Programmer in large‑scale environments.
Expertise in IBM z/OS, CICS, storage/tape management, and mainframe hardware.
Strong experience with system upgrades, DR, and capacity planning.
Familiarity with IDMS, security tools, and workload management.
Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects and provide technical leadership.
