We are seeking a Project Engineer with a focus on commercial construction, specifically in power distribution, lighting systems, and low-voltage systems such as fire alarms, security systems, and data cabling. The role involves managing panels, transformers, and switchgear, while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety standards.
Job Title Project Engineer
Responsibilities
Manage the electrical construction of a $250M project for a new data center.
Oversee power distribution, lighting installations, and low-voltage systems.
Ensure all electrical components, including panels, transformers, and switchgear, are properly installed and operational.
Prepare and manage electrical submittals.
Adhere to and enforce NEC and local safety standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 1 year of commercial electrical experience.
Experience with electrical submittals.
Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office.
Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial projects such as data centers and hospitals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience managing large commercial or complex electrical projects.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Construction management skills.
Work Environment The role is based at the Google Data Center located off USA Parkway. This is a career-defining project with opportunities to advance to a Project Manager role or explore preconstruction paths in the future. The work environment is dynamic and provides hands‑on experience with unique power requirements, offering substantial career growth.
Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Sparks, Nevada.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $55,900 – $82,992 per year.
