We’re seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the design and development of a cloud-native Unified Observability Testing platform built from the ground up in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a self-directed engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and can drive architecture and implementation independently.
Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid – 4 days onsite weekly)
Schedule: Standard Day Shift, 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $65-70/hr with benefits
Responsibilities
Architect and implement a scalable Observability platform using GCP services.
Build backend microservices with Java/Spring Boot and develop supporting APIs.
Create front-end components using React and integrate with backend services.
Use Terraform for infrastructure as code to ensure secure and resilient environments.
Lead technical design, mentor peers, and ensure best practices across the team.
Collaborate with PMs, TPMs, architects, developers, and SREs to deliver production-ready solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of full-stack development experience (Java/Spring Boot + React or similar).
Proven ability to architect and build enterprise platforms from scratch.
Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (Pub/Sub, FireStore, BigQuery, DataFlow).
Expertise in event-driven architecture, REST API design, and microservices.
Experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills
Experience with GraphQL, observability tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, OTEL).
CI/CD pipeline development and Docker containerization.
Performance tuning and troubleshooting in Unix/Linux environments.
Awareness of FinTech trends and cloud-native development practices.
