Program Overview Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.

About The Role Peraton requires Network Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. This position is located at MacDill AFB. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Provisioning, operating, managing, engineering, and monitoring LAN/WAN services to securely connect remote elements and mission partners over the SIE and shared public IP networks.

Ensure network compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Defense Information System Agency (DISA), United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), National Security Agency (NSA), and USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.

Provide full lifecycle support for LAN/WAN infrastructures, including automation, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.

Manage network automation technologies for efficient provisioning, monitoring, and operations.

Plan, design, configure, operate, and maintain LAN/WAN routing and switching infrastructure templates.

Identify and troubleshoot advanced network issues related to data, voice, and transport systems.

Monitor and control network performance using software and hardware tools.

Engineer and optimize enterprise data, voice, and video networks, including IP satellite technologies and In-Line Encryption (INE) devices.

Establish baselines to measure network performance across a global enterprise.

Develop and implement systems and network engineering plans, including modeling and simulation.

Regularly review and recommend improvements to existing network architectures.

Lead technical teams in integrating new technologies into operational environments.

Support cybersecurity efforts, including risk identification, mitigation, and A&A documentation.

Monitor PKI and certificate authority to maintain secure network operations.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network support technicians.

Manage and maintain WAN automation infrastructures, including routers, switches, circuits, and encryption devices, while implementing upgrades and changes as needed.

Oversee and support VLAN architectures to optimize performance and maintain security.

Prepare activity and progress reports on network automation initiatives and performance.

Document technical implementation plans, including milestones, timelines, and critical paths.

Perform disaster recovery, backup, and restore operations to ensure network resilience.

Establish and operate network test facilities to validate system functionality.

Collaborating and coordinating with external Government and commercial circuit providers to expedite the restoration of circuit outages.

Participate in and support LAN/WAN exercises while ensuring network readiness for mission-critical operations.

Shift work is required for this position and the ability to work both, on a team, or alone on a non-standard work schedule to support the mission. Qualifications

Min 9 years with HS Diploma, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA degree, 3 years with a MS/MA degree

DoD TS/SCI clearance is required

DoDD 8570 IAT II Certification AND CCNP

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
