Overview The Principal Architect-Director leads a group of teams dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation of our technology stack. The role influences long‑term technology strategy and vision across the organization and delivers strategic and tactical projects, including maintaining legacy functionality while moving to next‑generation capabilities across the ecosystem.

Duties & Responsibilities

Enable effective delivery of business value through key solution architecture decisions, including ecosystem transformation, lifecycle and processes.

Engage senior business and technology leadership to manage expectations and provide creative thought‑leadership and insights.

Provide thought‑leadership for innovating toward the next evolution of technology products, including agile approaches, big data, cloud platforms, advanced analytics, data science and AI.

Support strategic bank goals, aligning with strategic capabilities, target architectures, and technology standards; lead definition and execution of a roadmap to deliver a target state.

Manage demand and delivery of tactical and strategic projects, maintaining current service levels and addressing ad‑hoc needs while transitioning to future state; lead enterprise maturity in data governance, quality and accessibility.

Work with vendors and external partners to deliver functionality and support capability development; maintain high‑performing ecosystems, retire legacy systems and build next‑generation platforms.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or military experience in a related field (preferably computer science/management information systems).

10+ years of experience in a Technology Leadership position.

7+ years leading strategy, architecture and execution of projects.

5+ years of hands‑on experience in architecture and engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.

Experience in Consumer/retail and commercial/business banking – branch and digital (online/direct) banking.

Experience with SDLC, waterfall and agile delivery; DevOps and data solution testing including CI/CD, and data infrastructure including cloud.

Experience with security, performance, availability, environment configuration.

Experience with business intelligence, visualization, self‑service dashboards, advanced analytics.

Experience with banking data models and financial services (fintech) systems.

Strong organizational skills and proven ability to deliver against a strategic roadmap.

Strong communication and influencing skills with executive presentation experience.

Compensation Total Base Pay Range 125,000.00 - 255,000.00.

Workplace Type Office (eligible for flexible work arrangement; in‑office and work‑from‑home options).
