Our Senior Engineer is a key member of the Customer Correspondence Tech / engineering staff working across the Tech and Product organization to assist with building modern cutting-edge solutions and services to deliver digital correspondence platform across all communication channels to GEICO customers and business partners. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high quality technology products and services in a fast-paced environment supporting aggressive business goals and priorities for GEICO Insurance products. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, primarily focusing on building back-end enterprise systems and solutions that are highly secured, scalable and reliable catering Customer facing applications with 24/7 availability. Responsibilities

Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems Build product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solution Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization Define, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective Utilize programming languages like Python, C# or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services Mentor other engineers Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams Qualifications

Advanced programming experience within the .NET framework. Including C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and REST Proven understanding of microservices oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs Experience architecting and designing new and current systems Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts including Azure DevOps framework and tools Advanced PowerShell scripting skills Advanced understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling Advanced understanding of security protocols and products Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms Strong problem-solving ability Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication) Architecture assessment and proposals Nice to have

Object oriented programming skills and awareness SOLID design patterns a strong plus. Understanding of microservices Understanding of Azure Ecosystem (Azure Cloud services, Kubernetes services, Service Bus, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps) Hands‑on experience using and integrating AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor etc) into a development workflow. Salary

$80,000.00 - $215,000.00 Benefits
