Job Summary
The Senior People and Talent Business Partner at Tampa General Hospital serves as a strategic and integral partner to operational leaders across departments, and/or service lines, with primary focus of ensuring business and operational strategies are aligned with the people and talent strategies across the health system. The Sr. HRBP may also be assigned large scale projects and initiatives to support the organization and overall HR team. Provides people consulting on a variety of People and Talent related areas, including but not limited to coaching, talent management, development, change management, policy interpretation and application, training, workforce planning and enhancing employee and leader capabilities and decision making. The Sr. HRBP will maintain communications with respective client groups to understand the business and proactive identify people support, present recommendations and plans, including goals and priorities that will benefit the group and the organization. The Sr. HRBP will also maintain communications with People and talent Centers of Excellence (CoE) to collaborate on proactive resources and solutions in order to deliver value added service while serving as change agent and champion for TGH PT initiatives and programs. May also serve as a mentor and lead to other HRBP staff. Job Responsibilities
Partner with client groups to understand and assess operational strategies and priorities in order to provide guidance in support of business planning and key initiatives.
Create specific plans in support of people related strategies and initiatives that will support the department’s needs, identify opportunities, and enhance operational strengths and performance across the business unit.
Seek to develop performance of team members and leaders through effective advice, feedback, development, and collaboration to strengthen performance management skills and to ensure positive conflict resolution and communications.
Understand and interpret financial and operational terms and initiatives to capture the needs of the client group being served to deliver people processes, training, support and actionable information while mitigating risks to provide effective and efficient operational performance.
Support the change management process using tools and techniques to manage the people elements of change in order to achieve desired business outcomes.
Integrate and foster cultural standards consistent with TGH’s shared purpose, vision and values into the department, or service lines, practices and processes to ensure consistency and team member engagement in supporting the desired work culture.
Partner with leaders to identify and anticipate talent needs, ensure accuracy of support structure and to develop an effective talent management and succession approach.
Collaborate with CoEs to identify adequate partnerships and resource solutions in order to support effective people management and operational performance of client groups.
Review, analyze and provide relevant data on people metrics to include trends and recommendations in order to enhance operational performance and develop strategies for future opportunities.
Provide effective direction, counsel and advise to leaders on the interpretation and application of HR policy and practice, employment and labor laws (i.e. EEOC, ADA, FMLA) in partnership with Team Member Relations.
SHRM certification and 5 years of experience, Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience, or Master’s Degree or JD and 2 years of experience of HR and or Business Experience with the ability to articulate and demonstrate leadership experience.
