Job Description Asset & Wealth Management: The Sustainable Investing Group (“SIG”), a Goldman Sachs platform for direct equity investing in private markets, seeks to play a critical role in investing in climate transition and inclusive growth-related opportunities. SIG brings decades of experience, a strong investment track record, and a proprietary Corporate Network of leaders from global corporations, all supported by the broader resources of Goldman Sachs. The Horizon Environmental & Climate Solutions fund is a growth-oriented private equity strategy that seeks to invest in key sectors focused on the environment and climate transition.
Overview The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and structuring investments across the full deal lifecycle within a growing, entrepreneurial business.
Responsibilities
Spearhead due diligence and analysis of potential investments
Lead detailed financial modeling to support investment decision making
Develop investment and impact theses for new markets and opportunities
Draft investment memoranda and present to the Investment Committee
Support portfolio management and operational uplifts at the portfolio company level
Qualifications
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Passion for impact investing, particularly in climate transition sectors: clean energy, sustainable transport, sustainable food & agriculture, waste & materials, ecosystem services
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible, creative and entrepreneurial mindset
Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with a wide variety of people
Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000-$225,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
