Our rapidly growing real estate client, with a proven record of strong performance, is seeking a
Controller
to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape financial processes in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement review
Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and footnotes; also support audit processes
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
Manage AP/AR and maintain financial reporting systems
Lead budgeting, cash management, and revenue recognition processes
File income, franchise, and other applicable tax returns
Perform treasury functions including cash flow projections and banking relationships
Support system implementations and process improvements
Supervise and develop accounting team members
Maintain confidentiality and security of financial documents
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience as a senior management leader in accounting
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
At least 2+ years of public accounting experience is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance is a must
Prior experience with property accounting and/or percentage of completion accounting is also required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi; DocuSign experience a plus
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively
