About this opportunity: GoEngineer is a provider of the most compelling design platforms in the industry, deploying engineering software and 3D Printing technology to make the design process innovative, efficient, and intelligent.

Your key contributions in this role will be:

Own the end-to-end planning process (annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, rolling forecasts, scenario planning).

Design, build, and maintain financial models, dashboards, and planning tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, or equivalent).

Collaborate cross-functionally with business units (sales, operations, product, services, marketing) to gather assumptions, validate plans, and align forecasts.

Develop and document standardized planning templates, processes, and workflows to improve consistency, efficiency, and transparency.

Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis to assess the impact of strategic choices (pricing changes, investments, growth initiatives).

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics; analyze variances to budget/forecasts and provide actionable insights and recommendations.

Partner with the finance reporting team to ensure planning output aligns to reporting and actuals.

Present planning results, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Identify process improvement opportunities (automation, tool enhancements, data integration) and lead implementation.

Mentor or provide guidance to junior analysts as the planning function scales.

Stay current with FP&A best practices, modeling techniques, and industry trends, and bring new ideas to the finance team.

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and skills, however, even if you do not meet all the listed requirements, very interested candidates should still apply:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant master’s strongly preferred).

5+ years of FP&A, financial planning, or related analytical experience in a high-growth or complex business.

Proven track record owning planning, forecasting, budgeting or strategic modeling functions.

Advanced modeling skills: scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, driver-based forecasting.

Proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros/VBA) and experience with financial planning tools or BI platforms (Power BI, etc.).

Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to translate numbers into strategic recommendations and communicate them clearly to non-finance audiences.

Good business judgment and ability to influence stakeholders cross-functionally.

High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage competing priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience in a technology, SaaS, or engineering-related company.

Familiarity with product, services, or recurring revenue business models.

Experience integrating or working with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) or data warehouses.

Prior experience leading or mentoring junior analysts.

Exposure to automation and process improvement (scripted workflows, macro-driven tools).
