Revenue Tax Analyst 2

Revenue Processing Center!

Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in administrative services.

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties In this role, you will:

Review tax returns, payments, billing notices, and correspondence for accuracy and compliance with filing instructions for the specific tax and recommends further action for the account.

Review items that are filed timely to determine if they can be routed for further processing or need to be returned to the taxpayer for corrective action.

Serve as the process owner for the collection functions of LDR. Provide continuous review of the processes of the collection processes; analyze and recommend changes to enhance the efficiencies; address the necessity of processes and the need for creating new processes required to be implemented by law.

Be responsible for the opening, sorting, batching, and preparation of documents for downstream processing; routing of all mail received by the department and performing related control and delivery functions.

Compensation:

The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

This posting may be used to fill vacancies in other divisions within the Louisiana Department of Revenue within 90 days of the closing date.

LA R.S.15:587.5, 587.6 and the IRS require the Louisiana Department of Revenue to conduct a criminal history records check of a prospective employee who will access federal tax information to perform job duties.
