Location: Charlotte, NC. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Staff Accountant
to join our client's team in Charlotte, NC. In this full-time, on-site position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records and reports in accordance with accounting standards
Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and budgeting activities
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner
Upload accounts payable information and process weekly check runs
Generate and distribute a variety of monthly financial reports
Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Participate in internal audits and help improve financial procedures
Qualifications
Proven experience in maintaining financial records and performing account reconciliations
Familiarity with budget preparation, financial close procedures, and internal audit practices
Hands-on experience with payroll processing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced formulas required)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
