Job Description and Duties The Office of Legal Counsel provides legal support to DTSC. Under an Assistant Chief Counsel, the Attorney III will give complex legal advice to all DTSC programs, work independently, and may lead other attorneys.
Provide legal support on Safer Consumer Products Program (SCP).
Advise management and staff on regulations and other regulatory schemes.
Interpret rights and responsibilities under applicable law.
Review and analyze federal and state legislation and regulations related to permitting and safer consumer products.
Participate in meetings with environmental, industry, governmental, and other groups regarding proposed legislation and regulations.
Desirable Qualifications We Look For
Hard working.
Attends to detail.
Litigation experience.
Special Requirements
Requires California State Bar License. A copy of the license must be provided prior to hire.
