Position Summary The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be an integral part of the Human Resources Department and will provide comprehensive support across multiple areas of HR operations. This individual will assist in administering and supporting a variety of programs within the department, including, but not limited to, team member relations, HRIS database management, benefits administration, compliance reporting, and other HR initiatives and projects as assigned.

The Senior HR Generalist will partner closely with department leaders and team members to ensure consistency in HR practices, maintain compliance with company policies and employment laws, and foster a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities Administer and maintain team member data within the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Support team member relations by providing guidance and coaching to managers and team members on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Coordinate and manage benefits programs, COBRA, and leave administration in partnership with benefit providers. Prepare and submit compliance reporting, including EEO, ACA, and other regulatory requirements. Partner with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of team member changes and updates. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support company goals. Participate in HR projects such as engagement surveys, training initiatives, and process improvements. Administer the Drug Free Workplace policy, including regulatory (FMCSA & FRA) drug testing programs. Maintain team member files, records, and documentation in accordance with federal and state requirements.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong generalist background. Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems Thorough understanding of employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
