Sales Development Training Lead
within our Interventional Cardiology division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the knowledge, skills, and strategic capabilities of our sales team. You’ll design and implement scalable training programs that enhance selling effectiveness, improve clinical competency, and drive revenue growth. Working cross-functionally with sales leadership, marketing, clinical education, and product teams, this role ensures our commercial teams are equipped to succeed in a highly competitive and evolving healthcare landscape. Your responsibilities
Develop and execute a national sales training strategy for Interventional Solutions, aligned with evolving salesforce needs and new clinical therapies (e.g., IVL, IHF, RDN). Design and deliver new hire training programs focused on product knowledge, objection handling, strategic territory planning, and building Boston Scientific’s brand as the leader in Complex PCI. Create advanced training curricula for experienced sales reps, including topics such as strategic selling, territory management, and key account development. Content creation and delivery
Create and maintain engaging content for product launches, clinical expansions, and strategic initiatives. Develop a variety of training assets such as presentations, e-learning modules, sales playbooks, and role-play scenarios. Facilitate in-person workshops, sales simulations, and field coaching sessions. Leverage digital platforms and virtual tools to scale training and improve accessibility across geographies. Collaboration and alignment
Partner with Marketing, R&D, and Medical Education to translate technical and clinical data into impactful sales messaging. Ensure all training programs align with regulatory and corporate compliance standards, including FDA, ISO, and HIPAA requirements. Performance measurement
Define and monitor metrics to assess training effectiveness, such as knowledge assessments, certifications, and performance analytics. Support territory-level analysis and improvements through post-training performance data. Lead the development and management of the Center of Training (COT) program, including content development, location strategy, contracts, and tracking of local program impact. Qualifications
Required qualifications: Minimum of 5 years' experience in medical device or healthcare sales Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales training, enablement, or leadership roles Strong understanding of the medical device regulatory landscape and healthcare sales cycles Proficiency in LMS platforms (e.g., ALM), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and SharePoint Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Training Management) Proven ability to facilitate impactful learning experiences in both virtual and in-person settings Experience designing and scaling national-level training initiatives Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into digestible sales strategies Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder collaboration skills Requisition ID:616216 Minimum Salary:$99100 Maximum Salary: $188300 The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com— will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above. Compensation for
non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles
may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Compensation for
exempt, non-sales roles
may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
