The Project Coordinator will support the implementation and success of a new three-year, grant-funded fellowship program focused on character education; community-engaged, experiential learning; and dialogue across difference, with inspiration drawn from the life and legacy of Thomas Merton. The Project Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Faculty Director and Project PI and co-PI to assist with program development, operations, budgeting, communications, project evaluation, and grant reporting. This administrative position will report to the Project PI/ Assistant Provost, will supervise a graduate assistant in Years 2 and 3 of the program, and will play a key role in the launch and success of the program by providing support to the core project team and annual cohorts of interdisciplinary teams composed of faculty, students, and community partners. This position is a three-year, grant-funded appointment lasting through July 2028, working approximately 20 hours per week. Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) Experience working in higher education, nonprofit administration, or community engagement. Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple programs and managing events. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with a variety individuals, including faculty and staff, students, and community partners. Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail, and an ability to manage people and multiple priorities both collaboratively and independently. Proficiency with office and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, Teams). Interest in character education, community-engagement, and Bellarmine’s mission.
