We are inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi. The appointment will begin September 1, 2026, subject to final budget approval and is available for up to three years.
The position will spend half of the time on independent research and half on collaborative projects with Professors Veda Narasimhan and Ral Santaeulalia-Llopis. Collaborative work focuses on health and family economics, including projects on obesity, health insurance, and public health systems.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct independent research in health and family economics.
Collaborate on projects with Professors Narasimhan and Santaeulalia-Llopis.
Analyze administrative data and develop expertise in quantitative macroeconomic models and empirical quasi-experimental analysis.
Engage with a group of over 20 post-doctoral fellows and 70 faculty in the Division.
Possibly gain teaching experience for compensation.
Qualifications
PhD in Economics or a related discipline, or will soon receive a PhD.
Expertise or strong willingness to develop expertise in solving quantitative macroeconomic models with heterogeneous agents, empirical quasi-experimental analysis, or both.
Expertise in the analysis of administrative data.
