The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented
Senior Functional Analyst
working on Global Trade Services (GTS) to join the team in
Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; Long Beach, CA; Miami, FL; North Charleston, SC; Berkeley, MO; or Hazelwood, MO.
The Functional Analyst will focus on the implementation and support of SAP projects based on S4 Hana technology. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as this position will focus on working directly with multiple stakeholders including business, solution architects and developers to implement SAP projects.
Position Responsibilities
Acts as the primary point of contact for all related GTS processes
Leads required validations, workshops, and development of functional designs
Designs functional and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts, and assists with training development
Collaborates with cross functional teams comprising of business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Architects, Developers, and System Integrators (SIs) on current processes
Proposes enhancements to current systems
Identifies, recommends, and implements complex configuration solutions and implements full cycle configuration to meet business needs; creates and updates associated documentation
Works independently to handle and lead the development of objects
Works collaboratively with the team
Customizes and configures the SAP GTS module to align with the company’s global trade compliance requirements, including tariff classification, Sanction Party List (SPL), export control, import/export compliance, and product classification
Designs and implements compliance processes, including sanctioned party list screening, embargo checks, and legal control, ensuring adherence to global trade regulations
Drives configuration and optimization of import/export declaration processes and customs procedures to support efficient and compliant cross-border operations
Oversees setup of product classifications, preference determinations, and origin management to reduce duty costs and ensure regulatory alignment across regions
Enables seamless integration with government platforms by configuring electronic filing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of trade documents
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain effective trade compliance processes, including import/export documentation, embargo/sanction list screening, and restricted party screening
Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data within the SAP GTS system, including the maintenance of product master data, customs information, and compliance documentation
Provides training and support to end-users and colleagues to enhance understanding of SAP GTS functionality, compliance requirements, and best practices
Stays informed about changes in international trade regulations and trade compliance laws to ensure ongoing compliance and make necessary system adjustments
Acts as the point of contact for troubleshooting SAP GTS-related issues and implementing solutions to resolve system and process discrepancies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
8+ years of experience with SAP GTS
Experience with 2 global implementation projects
Experience with international trade compliance regulations, customs procedures, and trade finance
Experience with SAP SD, MM, EHS, FI and SAP TM
Experience gathering application specific project requirements, participating in workshops, launch discussions with architects, and driving detailed application design in SAP S4Hana
Experience with SAP module specifics including user exits, batch jobs, and standard SAP reports
Experience with Supply Chain business models and Fiori UI
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience working in Aerospace and Defense industry
SAP Certifications in SAP EWM
