The Boeing Company is currently seeking an

Enterprise Fire Chief Senior Manager

to join the team in Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; Auburn, WA; Berkeley, MO; El Segundo, CA; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA; San Antonio, TX; or Seal Beach, CA.

The senior manager will manage and integrate activities across Enterprise Boeing Fire and Site based Fire Protection teams including uniformed fire operations, fire protection operations, fire protection engineering, contract management, education and training, and special projects.

The candidate must be comfortable engaging in a partner-facing operations role to define, refine, create and sustain effective fire protection operations and services and will act as a primary focal to Factory Mutual Insurance and to other external agencies and jurisdictions.

Position Responsibilities

Lead our Enterprise Fire Protection function comprised of: Fire Training, Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Education, Fire Protection Operational Standards and Processes, and the Service Quality Assessment Process

Governance of fire protection services at multiple medium to large campuses including but not limited to; Renton, Auburn/Frederickson, Portland, Mesa, Huntsville, Philadelphia, North Charleston, St. Louis, Everett, Seattle, Huntington Beach, El Segundo, and others as assigned

Work with program management/project management best practices and be able to engage business partners and stakeholders effectively, always solving for organizational value

Apply knowledge of security and fire disciplines and processes in order to deliver services across supported campuses and programs

Interface with Security & Fire Protection (S&FP) employees across the Enterprise, site security and fire management and company employees regarding fire operations

Responsible for Fire Protection contracts; coordinating onboarding efforts for new sites, contractual requirements, and standard level of service

Coordinate and address Enterprise fire related advice and assistance in a liaison role to enterprise security personnel

Use appropriate management and administrative skills (e.g. planning, organizing, monitoring, etc.) in addressing multiple aspects of Fire Protection, and establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with customers, suppliers, and co-workers

Act in a subject matter expert role in support of aircraft storage and Return to Service activities as required

Develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guide the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives

Acquire resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

Manage, develop and motivate employees and managers

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Current valid driver’s license

5+ years of experience as a full time/career firefighter and/or fire industry professional (including engineering)

5+ years of experience in fire protection and fire management

Experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication

Experience building a team and developing employees and managers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) certification

Currently nationally certified as an emergency medical technician (EMT) or higher

Experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures and equipment

Experience with Security & Fire Protection or uniformed security policies, procedures, disciplines and requirements

Experience working with bargaining unit/hourly union employees

Experience with Enterprise Fire Protection policies, procedures and operations as well as knowledge of various S&FP disciplines and requirements

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $148,750 – $215,050
