Academic Advisor and Recruitment Coordinator
The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences is seeking an Academic Advisor and Recruitment Coordinator. This is a full-time, 12-month, professional faculty position. The successful candidate will provide undergraduate students with advising toward retention and degree completion, and will coordinate and engage in new student recruitment efforts for the College. The Academic Advisor/Coordinator will work with students to identify academic goals, develop course plans, and connect with university resources. They will also represent the College at recruitment events, communicate with prospective students, and collaborate with Admissions and other university partners. Key Responsibilities: Provide academic advising to undergraduate students, including course planning and career guidance. Coordinate and engage in new student recruitment efforts for the College, including events, communication, and outreach. Represent the College at recruitment events and communicate with prospective students. Collaborate with Admissions and other university partners to build pathways for diverse, high-achieving students. Requirements: Professional experience assisting various populations of learners. Ability to communicate effectively with large groups and provide presentations. Knowledge of retention practices, student development theory, and proactive advising strategies. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse audiences.
