Responsibilities
Environment Operations Consultant: Environment deployment and Management Operations
Deploy and manage Murex Software needed for Murex client projects using Murex tools and scripts.
Perform basic smoke tests before delivering the needed products.
Act as a first-level support for already deployed Murex products, re‑directing and following the issues with the corresponding support teams.
Performing system health checks and diagnostics (RAM, CPU, processes, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and uptime
Automating routine tasksConversion of a customer database
Perform database sanitization and purging procedures
Migration sequence execution and stabilizationSetting Methodologies and Procedures
Contribute to creating the environment and configuration management methodologies, conversion processes, communication workflows, and needed templates and documentation
Customize and document the installation and the conversion/upgrade procedures
Deliver needed training and best practices for Murex Clients and project teams
Manage internal streams: contribute to creating tools, measure related KPIs, and analyze potential issuesCollaboration
Ensures good collaboration with the project team
Ensures good collaboration with customerCapitalization
Capitalizes on issues not related to a specific client
Contributes to product evolution (feedback to product teams, follow‑up on defects and issues)
Technical Skills
Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology Engineering (or related discipline)
Experience with scripting languages
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of technical machine specifications
Knowledge of XML manipulations
Knowledge of UNIX Operations with hands‑on expertise in command‑line operations
Knowledge of RDMS Operations
Understanding of the Financial markets
SKILLS Must have
Strong working knowledge of Murex Configuration and Environment management
Strong knowledge of scheduler software (e.g. Tidal, Autosys, JAMS, ...etc.)
Good understanding of MXTest
Good product knowledge/understanding in IRD, CRD, EQD, FXD
Good understanding of Workflows, Operations, Fixings process, Confirmations, and Trade Life Cycle
Strong functional and technical understanding of Murex
Good knowledge of the different post‑trade interactions between the various actors of capital markets including service providersMust:- previous experience, min 2yrs, with Murex Environment management- MXTest Module (a plus)- Must have strong personality, logical and analytical skills- Be detailed‑oriented, a quick learner and self‑starter- Possess good verbal and written communication skills- Must have strong organization skills- Good SQL, Unix , Scripting , Sybase and Oracle skills
Nice to have BS or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics or equivalent implementation upgrades Test management Trade life cycle management Market Data management Knowledge in SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands is a plus Good understanding of Market Risk Management (including VaR, stress‑tests, back‑testing) Client focus: understands clients' businesses; identifies and understands the needs and objectives of clients, both on an individual and corporate basis; builds strong relationships to aid Luxoft aim of being a trusted partner to the clients.
