Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior in New York, New York.
Work You’ll Do Assist clients with fundamental tax planning and analysis. Work to understand company‑specific business and tax issues, optimize the tax position, and identify and mitigate risk areas. Streamline partners’ tax compliance processes, particularly partnership tax calculations and Schedule K‑1 preparation. Develop client service relationships and facilitate specialized Deloitte tax services to improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client’s overall tax risk profile. Mentor and coach junior team members.
Requirements
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field (willing to accept foreign equivalent).
Eighteen (18) months of experience as a Tax Senior related occupation, gaining experience providing tax planning process and technology and tax department review and optimization for investment management companies.
Experience must include eighteen (18) months of:
Assisting clients with Schedule K‑1 processing;
Collaborating with clients to design and streamline tax compliance processes, including partnership‑specific tax calculations, tiered partnership allocations, and Schedule K‑1 preparation;
Utilizing tax software, including MS Access, GoSystem, ProSystems, and Corptax, to provide tax compliance and consulting services;
Preparing partnership workpapers and tax returns incorporating Schedule K‑1 and K‑3 summaries, book‑to‑tax reconciliations, income allocations, footnote disclosures, and tax basis calculations;
Assisting in tax provision calculations, including current and deferred tax liabilities, reconciling differences between financial statements and tax filings;
Reviewing XML files for e‑filing compliance, ensuring accuracy and completeness in electronic tax return submissions.
Other Annual Salary: $81,620.00‑$151,580.00
