Maintenance Group Leader
at our
Hayward, CA
site. About you and this role: Supervises daily activities of administrative, technical and operational employees. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion. Shares responsibility and accountability for plant assets, personnel and achievement of plant-related business goals. Fosters a work environment with a high level of integrity and strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation and sustainability, continuous improvement and empowerment. Serves as Reliability steward to ensure sustained reliability improvement through proven reliability practices and techniques. Focuses on long-term opportunities that impact the plant’s asset capability and opportunities identified as high-risk in risk assessments, reliability models, and other evaluations. Responsibilities
Fosters EH&S engagement, particularly in the field and in the areas of personal safety and compliance. Focus on creating a Highly Reliable Organizational culture and the elimination of unplanned events by implementing reliability and maintenance services and solutions. Complete the requirements of the Performance Management Process for Maintenance direct reports, supporting meaningful opportunities for leader/employee engagement, including coaching and career development. Implement and provide ongoing support of the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy at the facility. Create Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs. Validate ERS implementation and close gaps to improve/sustain reliability improvement. Identify and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses; leverage solutions within and outside the facility. Ensure consistency in the Reliability Opportunity List process. Develop and implement the Facility Reliability Strategy and provide input into the Business Reliability Strategy. Manage site annual Turnarounds (pit-stops). Facilitate the annual maintenance budget setting process. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant. 6+ years of maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or related experience. Demonstrated leadership abilities (leading a project or initiative, mentoring, etc). Legal eligibility to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available for this position. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. SAP & GMISS proficiency. Physical Demands
Willing and able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations: Ability to safely work in a plant environment, at elevated heights, and to use PPE and safety equipment.
