The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Evening Shift Security Officer to join our team at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. Shifts: 5:15pm/6:15pm - 1:15am/2:15am
Pay $20.00 - $24.00 / hour

What will you do?
Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor
Conduct cash escorts as required
Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity
Maintain crowd control as required
Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally
More about you
High School Diploma or GED required
Prior law enforcement/security preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission
Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints
Must be able to document incidents accurately
Must be able to de-escalate tense situations
Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
Physical requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate through two way radio
Bending, stooping, lifting and carrying occasionally
Vision sufficient to perform duties day or night
Exposure to bright, flashing lights
Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment
