Associate Engineer - Packaging Engineering
for a consulting engagement with a leading global bio-pharmaceutical company. Job Summary:
This position reports into the Packaging Engineering group under Combination Product Operations in Thousand Oaks, CA. Apply engineering principles to design, qualify, and implement Primary and Secondary Packaging components and systems, including documentation, equipment, and processes. Knowledge of packaging systems and material science is essential. Requires organizational, project management, technical problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in teams and adapt to changing environments. Responsibilities:
Support testing and evaluation for selecting packaging materials. Familiarity with Material Testing standards and equipment. Write test protocols, perform evaluations, and support reports for material and packaging component justification. Develop technical specifications, engineering drawings, and artwork templates. Proficient in AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar software for engineering drawings. Support line trials and packaging validation activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in pre-commercial and commercial activities. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences. 1 to 3 years of packaging/engineering experience; Master’s degree with little/no experience considered. Skills and Competencies:
Independent thinker with teamwork and leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Top Must-Have Skills:
Packaging Engineering degree or related experience. Problem-solving skills with minimal supervision. 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred. Employee Value Proposition:
