Account Manager Overview We are looking for an Account Manager (AM) to work with our sales team managing the ad solutions sold by Account Executives (AEs). The AM becomes a key point of contact for our clients and coordinates the full efforts of all internal team members involved in the fulfillment & execution process to help clients achieve desired business results and receive a strong ROI.
Responsibilities
Daily interaction with existing agency and direct client business; manage client schedules on television, streaming, and online, track client audience delivery using Comscore ratings and digital metrics, and provide high‑level customer service.
Prepare pre‑sale material, including TV and digital avails and recommendations for recurring business.
Demonstrate proof of performance for customer campaigns, including production, broadcast posts, digital & attribution recaps, and retrieve performance reports from the TMS Unified and TEGNA Attribution dashboards.
Partner with designated AEs to maintain contracts, make‑goods, renewals, and overall customer service.
Work with AEs to prepare and sell through make‑goods; resolve scheduling issues and program changes.
Collaborate with all departments in the station to fulfill sponsorships and promotions.
Facilitate execution of campaigns sold by designated AEs, ensuring digital campaigns are executed on‑time, accurately booked, trafficked, and monitored.
Assist Traffic Department to schedule customers accurately.
Understand TEGNA and station products, processes, and services to articulate to clients when appropriate.
Set up new customer accounts, contracts, entry, and revisions accurately.
Participate in local and corporate training sessions.
Use knowledge of each campaign’s goals and deliverables to track progress, communicate with AE and management, create materials, and keep campaigns on track.
Show self‑motivation, willingness to work as a team player, creativity, flexibility, and ability to adapt to industry changes.
Perform other duties as assigned to further client success and fulfil campaigns.
Requirements
Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic a must.
College degree preferred; previous experience as a Sales Assistant is a plus.
Ability to work in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Ability to work effectively and independently as part of a team.
Effective communication directly with clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and extremely computer‑literate; Wide Orbit (or similar traffic & media software) experience a plus.
Strong verbal and visual communication of research information.
Life‑long learner who can adapt to new software programs and research tools.
Understanding of the role attribution plays in sales and marketing.
