Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Digital Accessibility Specialist to support our clients' efforts in enhancing accessibility and ensuring compliance with Section 508, WCAG 2.2, ADA, and other relevant standards. This role is critical to the client's initiative to improve electronic and information technology accessibility across all platforms and deliverables. Key Responsibilities
Support the company-wide Accessibility/508 Program. Serve as a resource for digital and document accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and compliance with Section 504, Section 508, and ADA. Review and identify accessibility compliance issues across various formats (documents, multimedia, websites). Document issues and recommend remediation strategies and best practices. Assist internal teams in remediating accessibility concerns. Prepare and deliver training on accessibility-related topics. Ensure deliverables meet applicable standards and regulations, including content, software, assistive technologies, and accessibility success criteria. Required Qualifications
Deep understanding of ADA, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and W3C standards. Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes. Familiarity with assistive technologies used by individuals with disabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and CommonLook. Working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, and WordPress. Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus)
Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or willingness to obtain within 12 months. Accessible Document Specialist (ADS) or willingness to obtain within 12 months. Assistive Technology Professional Certification (ATP). Job Details
Contract - 6 months with a possibility to extend. Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. Hybrid 3 days a week in office in Maple Grove, MN. Pay $50/hour. APPLY NOW!
