The Family Support Provider will develop a support system for parents of children with serious emotional disorders. Responsibilities
Assist and coach family to increase their knowledge and awareness of the child’s needs Assist the family in building helpful relationships with child and family team members Link family with support groups and other community resources Provide helpful materials such as videos, books, articles or Internet address Provide moral support during crisis and other critical periods Assist family with preparations for meetings Participate in other activities as defined by the treatment team and family Appropriately submit required documentation; progress notes completed collaboratively, within 24 hours Participate in the development of individualized service plans that wrap services around the family needs Work collaboratively with the IHS and is given direction by the CPRC Youth Supervisor Driving is an essential function of this position Other duties as assigned Qualifications
High School/GED required Must be a family member with a child who has been or currently has a behavioral or emotional disorder Missouri resident for at least two (2) years required Must complete and pass the FSP Relias training and DBH FSP training, and obtain a Family Support Provider certification within 6 months of hire date A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required Benefits
