Assignment Details
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Setting: Inpatient
- Schedule: Full-time with variable weekday and weekend call
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 30, 2026
- Call: Beeper, 30-minute response time, 1:2 ratio
- EMR: Cerner
Clinical Details
- Procedures: CABG EVH and open vessel harvesting, TAVR, TACR, vascular surgery, ECMO
- Skills: Independent endoscopic and open vein harvesting (atrial and radial), suturing, wound care, thoracentesis, central and arterial line placement, postoperative management
- Support: Cardiac surgeons, surgical team, and CVOR staff
- Other Duties: OR assistance, pre-op preparation, post-op rounds, and patient care coordination
Requirements
- Board Eligible Physician Assistant (Cardiothoracic Surgery)
- Active Pennsylvania license
- BLS certification
- Strong experience with atrial and endoscopic vein harvesting (required)
- Surgical efficiency and familiarity with cardiovascular and thoracic protocols
Compensation
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
