*Position Summary* The Direct Support Professional Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates to serve as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This role plays a critical part in ensuring that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive quality care and support by maintaining a strong pipeline of compassionate, reliable, and skilled staff. The recruiter partners closely with hiring managers, program directors, and HR to meet staffing needs and build a workforce aligned with the organization’s mission and values. *Key Responsibilities* * Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract top candidates for DSP roles. * Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, community events, job fairs, schools, and local organizations. * Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, applicant screening, interviewing, reference checks, and offers. * Build and maintain relationships with community partners, workforce development agencies, and educational institutions to create a steady talent pipeline. * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational hiring policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate candidate tracking in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment logs. * Partner with program leadership to understand staffing needs and forecast hiring trends. * Represent the organization in a professional, mission-driven manner to promote the role of DSPs and encourage community interest in caregiving careers. * Assist with onboarding and orientation of new hires as needed. * Track and report on recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, retention, etc.). *Qualifications* * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). * 1–3 years of recruitment experience, preferably in human services, healthcare, or high-volume hourly recruiting. * Knowledge of direct care or developmental disability services is a strong plus. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse candidate pools. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS). * Demonstrated ability to recruit with creativity and persistence in competitive labor markets. *Key Competencies* * Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices. * Relationship-building and networking skills. * High level of integrity and professionalism. * Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. * Passion for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. *Working Conditions* * Standard office environment with regular travel to job fairs, schools, and community events. * May require occasional evening or weekend availability for recruitment activities.
