What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support across manufacturing lines to minimize downtime and drive root-cause solutions.
- Lead or support the introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing.
- Identify and implement improvements in production processes, equipment, and workflows to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize labor/material costs.
- Participate in or lead special projects involving process redesign, equipment upgrades, or implementation of corporate initiatives.
- Analyze ergonomic risks and implement corrective actions to improve safety and employee well-being.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and drive strategic improvements across the production lifecycle.
- Diagnose and resolve manufacturing process issues quickly and effectively.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools.
- Plan and execute equipment installation and process upgrades.
- Provide technical documentation and support for process changes.
- Track improvement metrics and project expenditures.
- Contribute to strategic process planning and long-term improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; OR equivalent experience in manufacturing process support.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience (degree not required if this level of experience is met).
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and ergonomic assessment.
- Familiarity with equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
- Understanding of process modeling, simulation, and value stream mapping.
- Background in human factors engineering or occupational biomechanics is a plus.
- Project management experience in a manufacturing setting.
