Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiac Anesthesiology Position Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: Physician - Anesthesiology - Cardiac Location: Iowa Rate: Open & Negotiable Shift: M-W-F 6:30 am 3:00 pm; T-Th 7:00 am 3:30 pm (may extend based on caseload) Start Date: June 9, 2025 End Date: Ongoing intermittent dates through end of year Position Details: Patient Population: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric Setting: Hospital-based (occasional ASC oversight if no cardiac cases) Responsibilities: Cardiac and general anesthesia cases; participation in a growing cardiac surgery program Required Procedures: Cardiac anesthesia, TEE (read, interpret, and billable proficiency required) EMR System: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC), some paper charting Support Staff: 6 anesthesiologists; may work with CRNA students Days Per Month: Based on scheduled weeks (June 9, July 7, July 31, August except last week, Sept 1, Dec 26 & 29) On-Call/Weekends: None Submission Requirements:
* Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology Preferred (Board Eligible considered) * Active Iowa license or IMLC Required (Must upload LOQ at name clear) * TEE Certified (able to read, interpret, and bill TEE) Required * Iowa CSR Required * DEA Required * Cardiac Fellowship Preferred (extensive experience acceptable with TEE certification) * BLS, ACLS, PALS Required * COVID Vaccinated Required * Must be available on the listed coverage dates Required
