About the Opportunity Brown University’s
School of Professional Studies
(SPS) brings a Brown education to new audiences of learners: those focused on the development of skills and a breadth of knowledge necessary for professional success and leadership. We leverage Brown’s intellectual centers of excellence, rigorous teaching, and developmental approach to learning in a range of programs, including serving students outside of traditional degree programs. We partner with Brown departments, centers, institutes, and schools to develop degree and non‑degree programs, and to support the recruitment, retention, and placement success of master’s students, including traditional, non‑traditional, and professional students.
Responsibilities
The Executive Education Recruitment and Events Coordinator is responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting qualified students to Brown University’s SPS Executive Education and Online Master’s Degree programs.
This dual‑focused role manages a portfolio of prospective students from initial inquiry through registration, while also coordinating and executing high‑touch virtual recruitment events to support lead generation and conversion efforts for both non‑degree and online master’s programs.
The position is cross‑trained to provide support and continuity for recruitment activities across SPS programs. Responsibilities include managing event logistics in Slate, coordinating team participation at events and conferences, and overseeing both virtual and in‑person recruiting events to engage prospective and matriculated students in SPS’s Executive Education and Online Master’s Degree programs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the non‑degree and graduate degree marketplace, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for recruitment work, is a proficient Slate user, excels in student‑centered outreach, and has prior experience meeting enrollment targets in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 1‑2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with data tracking and reporting tools
Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); familiarity with Photoshop and InDesign preferred
Proficiency in Slate CRM, with the ability to build events, manage event workflows, identify Slate populations and send targeted/ad‑hoc communications
Experience moderating virtual webinars and online recruitment sessions
High attention to detail and commitment to collaboration
