A growing law firm located in Greenway Plaza is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
HR Generalist
to support a wide range of human resources functions and ensure efficient day-to-day operations. This individual will report to the Sr. HR Manager and be responsible for maintaining HR records, managing HR systems, processing employee transactions, and supporting day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
Coordinate all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system setup, and exit procedures.
Support the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, managing candidate tracking, and conducting initial screenings.
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, reconciliations, and related reporting.
Prepare and verify payroll data, track time‑off requests, and resolve payroll discrepancies as needed.
Support performance management activities by monitoring evaluations and maintaining related documentation.
Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Respond promptly to employee and manager inquiries, providing accurate information and guidance.
Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and department initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
5+ years of HR generalist experience.
Strong knowledge of HR processes, recordkeeping, and employment laws.
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with payroll systems and benefits administration. (ADP a plus)
Experience in the legal field preferred but not required
