We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves managing various aspects of human resources, including employee relations, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong ability to maintain positive relationships within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Provide timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and general HR matters.
• Manage and update employee handbooks to ensure compliance with current regulations and company standards.
• Address and resolve employee relations issues, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Administer separation processes, including drafting release agreements and coordinating necessary documentation.
• Oversee performance management systems, ensuring evaluations and feedback processes are conducted effectively.
• Conduct audits related to I-9 expirations, background checks, and compliance tracking.
• Coordinate quarterly audits and mid-year state salary adjustments to align with organizational requirements.
• Administer workers' compensation claims and ensure labor law posters are up to date.
• Collaborate on training and development initiatives, including web-based programs and tools.
• Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining accurate reporting and documentation.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role.
• Strong background in employee relations, with proven ability to address sensitive issues effectively.
• Familiarity with FMLA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HR systems and web-based performance management tools.
• Knowledge of labor laws and workers’ compensation processes.
• Ability to conduct audits and manage compliance-related reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
