Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with leadership and HR/payroll teams to assess workforce needs and implement effective HR strategies.
• Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions, ensuring proper documentation.
• Interpret and enforce state and federal employment laws to maintain compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
• Conduct investigations into HR-related concerns, documenting findings and driving timely resolutions.
• Partner with compliance, payroll, and benefits teams to develop and deliver employee training programs.
• Lead or assist in HR audits, policy revisions, job description updates, and process improvement efforts.
• Analyze HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction surveys, to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions.
• Manage biweekly payroll processing for a small group of employees.
• Act as a cultural ambassador, promoting organizational values and enhancing employee engagement.
• Support initiatives related to accommodations, compliance programs, and California-specific labor requirements.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• 2–4 years of experience in HR, preferably within the agriculture or field-based industries.
• Thorough understanding of California labor laws, wage and hour compliance, and HR regulatory standards.
• Practical experience in benefits administration, recruitment, and HR system implementation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid California driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites as needed, 3rd shift.
• HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.
• Completion of some college coursework or a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred
