Coverage Dates: November 3, 2025 - December 31, 2026
Shift: Daily 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (end time may vary)
Weekend Coverage: 1:3 rotation
Practice Setting: Cardiothoracic surgery support with rounding, OR assistance, procedures, and consults as needed
Call Requirements: 20-minute response time; in-house call not required on weekends after rounds/orders/notes are completed
Hospital Bed Size: 15
Facility Type: Trauma Level II
Patient Assignments: Assigned patients
Patient Volume: 2-6 patients seen per day; 1-3 admissions per shift
Facility Accepts: Multiple providers
Hospital Certification: Stroke certified
EMR: Epic
Daily Duties:
Rounding with surgeon
Vein harvesting if needed
First assisting in OR as needed
Performing procedures if skillset allows (A-line, central line, thoracentesis, chest tube placement)
Seeing new consults as needed
Weekend Duties: Rounding with surgeon; may leave after rounds/orders/notes unless called back for emergencies
Qualifications:Licensure: Active Wisconsin license required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required
