The
Senior Director, Project Management
is a strategic leader responsible for driving the successful execution of marketing initiatives across channels, teams, and geographies. This role oversees a team of project managers, ensuring operational excellence, on-time delivery, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep experience in marketing operations, cross-functional collaboration, and enterprise-level project management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead large-scale campaigns, product launches, and other initiatives for commerce and brand marketing programs.
Develop complex integrated project plans with clearly defined scopes, timelines, budgets, and success metrics.
Drive collaboration across Marketing, Strategy, Retail Excellence, Strategy, Media, Creative, and external agency partners.
Implement and evolve project management frameworks, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and visibility.
Manage resource planning, project prioritization, and capacity balancing across internal and external teams.
Anticipate risks, remove roadblocks, and resolve conflicts to keep programs on track.
Monitor performance metrics and develop financial reports on project health, ROI, and KPIs.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and results-driven execution within the team.
Champion agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies based on project needs and organizational maturity.
Act as a key liaison between marketing leadership and other departments including Financial Operations, Department Operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
15+ years of experience in marketing project management (agency experience preferred), with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional marketing programs in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in scope development, scope management and financial management.
Strong understanding of commerce marketing, brand marketing, digital marketing, brand strategy, creative development, and media planning.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Workfront, Smartsheet, Jira).
PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
