is the investment arm of a private single-family office, focused on deploying over $3 billion annually through debt, equity, and structured investments across real estate, hospitality, technology, and venture markets.

We are seeking a

Managing Director - Development Debt

to manage our debt‑financing program for large‑scale development projects, including multifamily, boutique hospitality and resorts, tech‑infrastructure and entertainment‑based retail and sports/entertainment developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business development and origination.

Source new debt‑placement and structured‑finance opportunities in multifamily, hospitality, tech infrastructure and entertainment sectors.

Underwriting and financial modeling.

Conduct complex financial modeling of project cash flows and capital structures, utilizing market data, appraisals and comparables. Evaluate DSCR, leverage, exit values and sensitivity analyses; perform due‑diligence on physical, environmental and market conditions, drawing on third‑party consultants.

Deal execution and syndication.

Prepare and present pitch materials and offering memoranda for financing transactions; lead the deal‑execution process, including site tours, term‑sheet negotiations and closing coordination.

Risk management and portfolio oversight.

Ensure that development debt investments adhere to internal LTV and DSCR guidelines; maintain lender‑controlled interest reserves; enforce step‑in rights and other protective covenants. Oversee post‑closing asset management and draw administration; provide monthly and quarterly reports to investors and management.

Team and stakeholder coordination.

Lead analysts and associates; coordinate with legal counsel to negotiate loan agreements and inter‑creditor agreements. Participate in weekly pipeline meetings to discuss deal flow, market conditions and new leads.

QUALIFICATIONS 10–15 years of commercial real‑estate capital‑markets experience with exposure to construction, value‑add and stabilized deals.

Proven ability to source, underwrite and close large development loans; strong research, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting or economics; MBA preferred.

Excellent communication skills and existing relationships with sponsors, brokers, lenders and institutional investors.

COMPENSATION & LOCATION Hybrid Work Structure - Based in our New York City or Boston office with flexibility for partial remote work.
