Overview Bay Area Foot Care is a leading podiatry practice dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. We have 15 convenient locations in the East Bay, North Bay, San Francisco, and Peninsula.
Responsibilities
Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
Perform wound care management
Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
Qualifications
Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
Fluent in Spanish
Proficient with computers and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database
Education and Experience
Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
Current license as a podiatrist in the state of California
Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an accredited school of podiatry
Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
