Project Manager, Microgrid Construction
We are looking for a hands‑on Project Manager to drive exciting microgrid projects across California. You will report to the Senior Director, Project Management and be based in Oakland or Santa Monica, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Lead construction projects from contract signature to commissioning.
Align internal functions (Business Development, Engineering, Service) throughout project execution.
Prepare project schedules, operating rhythms, and sequence of operations to inform all stakeholders.
Evaluate and manage third‑party agreements and relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
Manage bid solicitation, review, subcontractor negotiations, and final project budgets.
Track project costs and schedules to ensure on‑time, on‑target delivery.
Proactively identify and resolve conflicts with viable solutions.
Inform the build‑out of the Project Management function to keep pace with company growth.
Ideal Candidate
5+ years of experience in construction management, general contracting, logistics, engineering, energy industry, or military.
Understanding of building codes and regulations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Critical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
Proactive and takes initiative.
Able to work autonomously and represent Scale in customer‑facing situations.
Some experience with logistics or project management software.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
