Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of sales strategies targeting the SLED market to achieve established revenue and growth objectives.
Cultivate and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers in state and local government agencies, including law enforcement, public safety, and state and local courts.
Manage and mentor a high‑performing sales team, providing guidance to ensure achievement of both individual and team sales goals while promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Oversee the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation through to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring smooth transitions to post‑sales implementation and customer success.
Remain well‑versed in market trends, regulations, and funding opportunities affecting the SLED sector, aligning sales efforts with evolving customer needs and priorities.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure the company's solutions meet market demands and drive customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 7 years focused on selling complex solutions to state and local government agencies.
Proven leadership experience in managing and developing sales teams, driving consistent performance, and achieving sales targets within the public sector.
Deep understanding of the SLED market, including knowledge of government procurement processes, funding mechanisms, and relationships.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate complex solutions to diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of state and local governments, including the judicial sector.
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams to optimize the sales process and customer experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are highly preferred.
