With an expanding portfolio and dynamic operational structure, we are seeking a talented CFO to lead and manage our financial infrastructure.
Role Description We are hiring a full-time CFO/Controller to oversee financial operations for White Lion Capital and its affiliated entities. This hybrid role is based in Los Angeles, CA, with flexibility for partial remote work.
The ideal candidate will not only manage the books for White Lion Capital, but will also oversee the tax planning, compliance, and financial management for a growing number of businesses and nonprofit organizations owned by the four partners. Each partner has unique financial structures, requiring a high level of adaptability, strategic thinking, and financial planning expertise.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-trust leadership role at the heart of a family office that is expanding rapidly. The position requires deep understanding of U.S. tax law, GAAP accounting, intercompany structures, and multi-entity financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all bookkeeping and financial operations for White Lion Capital
Lead tax planning, tax filing, and compliance reporting across multiple entities (LLCs, C-corps, 501(c)(3)s, etc.)
Prepare consolidated and entity-level financial statements, forecasts, and analysis
Coordinate with attorneys, external CPAs, and tax advisors to implement strategic structures for partners and entities
Maintain compliance with IRS regulations, state filings, and corporate governance requirements
Track partner-level income, equity, and tax positions across all owned entities
Build and maintain internal systems for document organization, expense tracking, and audit readiness
Support long-term financial planning and growth strategy for the Family Office
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA, CFA, or EA certification strongly preferred
Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial leadership, tax planning, or family office management
Deep knowledge of U.S. tax law, corporate structures, and financial reporting
Experience working with multi-entity operations (for-profit and nonprofit)
Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent project management skills
Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, and financial modeling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Discretion, professionalism, and trustworthiness in handling sensitive financial data
