Founded in 2015 by CEO Barry Silbert, Digital Currency Group (DCG) is the most active investor in the blockchain sector with a mission to accelerate the development of a better financial system through the proliferation of digital assets and blockchain technology.
What the Role Looks Like We are looking for someone to drive DCG's early stage crypto venture investments in the United States, reporting to the Head of Venture Investments.
Responsibilities
Identify investment opportunities and run the full investment process, including initial contact, commercial due diligence, presenting to the investment committee, and working with the legal team on legal due diligence and deal documentation.
Stay current on key trends in crypto across multiple markets, especially in the US, and anticipate, research, and map new trends.
Manage, grow, and maintain a deep network of relationships with top VCs, founders, builders, and other industry players to stay at the cutting edge of crypto.
Test, measure, and iterate on alternative investment sourcing channels.
Work with the post‑investment platform team to ensure DCG is value‑add to portfolio companies in crypto.
Build the DCG brand in crypto, leading relevant PR initiatives and raising our profile at events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
6–10 years of relevant experience in early stage venture investing in crypto.
Strong understanding of venture capital through prior experience as a VC investor or as a startup operator who has raised from venture capital.
Demonstrated interest in crypto; prior experience in fintech/crypto/AI aplus.
Early stage VC network (crypto, web2, fintech, AI) and excellent at relationship building and management.
Ability to build a broad network, learn quickly, and stay on topic of emerging trends in a fast‑paced industry.
Founder empathy and understanding.
Efficient and self‑directed.
Open‑minded yet decisive.
Collaborative and a team player.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
