Base pay range $230,000.00/yr - $260,000.00/yr
Position Overview Seeking a motivated Associate Attorney for the Private Wealth group in Chicago. Work on complex matters for high-net-worth clients, gaining experience in estate planning and tax strategies in a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare/review high-net-worth estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns.
Draft/advise on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents.
Develop tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, including gifting and succession plans.
Assist in probate/trust administration and dispute resolution.
Conduct research on international planning and family governance.
Meet 1,800 annual billable hours, with business development opportunities.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school (graduation 2021 or later).
Preferred: 1-2 years at a big law or reputable mid-sized firm, with high-net-worth estate planning and gift tax experience.
Strong academics, analytical/writing skills, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary starting at $200,000, plus bonuses.

Work Arrangement Hybrid model: One key in-office day per week (group-designated); hybrid/remote on all others. Office in downtown Chicago.
